A former lode Au-Pb occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 1, T15N, R8E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) NNE of La Barr Meadows, on Osborn Hill (3 miles SE of Grass Valley), on private (patented) land (4 patented claims). The property comprises 90 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in porphyry and sedimentary breccia. The ore body strikes N and dips 25-42W. The vein averages 26 inches (65 cm) thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 1,371.6 meters and an overall depth of 222.5 or 228.6 meters and comprised of shafts, crosscut adit, drifts, stopes, raises, a winze, tunnel and numerous levels.

Ore was valued at $20 to $50 (period values) Au/ton.
