A former lode Au-Fe-Pb mine located in the SE¼ (estimated) sec. 9, T5S, R24E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) SE of Madera Peak, on the "Balls" (a small chain of hills/peaks) (adjoins the Stemwinder claim on the W), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 14 inch (35 cm) thick vein. The ore body dips 60W at a thickness of 0.36 meter. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 6.1 meters and comprised of a 20 foot deep shaft.
