A former lode Au mine located in secs. 9 & 16, T5S, R14E, MDM, 4.3 km (2.7 miles) SE of Madera Peak, on the E end of the "Balls," on National Forest land. The mill was in sec. 10. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings.
