A former Au-Hg mine located in secs. 15 & 16, T3S, R16E, MDM, on the SW slope of Horseshoe Bend Mountain.

NOTE: California DOM Bulletin 108, Pl. 10 shows the Crystal Mine in secs. 15, 16, 21 - the same location apparently as the Cabinet Mine; the workings shown in secs. 15 & 21 on the Coulterville quadrangle are probably this mine (MRDS comment).

Mineralization is hosted in greenstone.
