A former lode Au prospect/mine located in sec. 29, T4S, R19E, MDM, 2.2 km (7,100 feet) W of Sweetwater Point and 4.8 km (3.0 miles) W of Jerseydale (near the Sweetwater Mine), on National Forest land. Property consisted of unpatented land. Operated by Charles H. Carleton. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
