A former lode Au mine located in sec. 17, T4S, R19E, MDM, 1.6 km (5,200 feet) N of Sweetwater Point (coordinates of record), and 3.5 km (2.2 miles) NW of Jerseydale, along Sweetwater Creek (NW of the Sweetwater Mine), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 2 foot (0.61 meter) thick vein, hosted in granite. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include surface and underground openings with a total length of 15.24 meters and comprised of a 50 foot tunnel & short drifts.
