A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ (?) sec. 14 & sec. 15 (?), T3S, R16E, MDM, 1.0 km (3,300 feet) ESE of Horseshoe Bend Mountain (coordinates of record), on the upper eastern slope of the mountain (3 miles SSE of Coulterville). Property was unpatented. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 3 to 5 feet thick, hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 20NE at a thickness of 1.52 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 91.44 meters and an overall depth of 45.72 meters and comprised of an incline and a tunnel.
