A former Hg mine located in sec. 5, T12S, R7E, MDM, 1.8 km (5,900 feet) SE of Antimony Peak (coordinates of record) and 0.2 km (700 feet) NNW of the Stayton Mine. Owned by R. B. Knox. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in Pliocene basalt. Controls for ore emplacement
included brecciation. Alteration is local (kaolinization of the basalt). Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 1 (Quien Sabe-Burdell Mountain).
Workings include underground openings with an overall length of 182.88 meters.
