A former Hg mine located in secs. 20, 21 & 23, T7N, R5W, MDM, 2.8 km (9,200 feet) NNW of Oakville. Owned by Carolyn Landry and J.J. Cohn. Discovered 1868. Worked 1872 - 1873, 1876, 1916 - 1920, 1929 - 1933, 1935, and 1942 - 1943.
Mineralization is hosted in serpentinite. The ore body is tabular, strikes N45W, dips 10SW and is 15.24 meters thick. Alteration is local with silica carbonate alteration of serpentine.
Local structures include local faults, shears, and rolls.
Workings include underground openings and total 1,828.8 meters in length and 60.96 meters deep.
