A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 9, T16N, R9E, MDM, about 2 miles E of Nevada City, on the S canyon wall of Deer Creek. The property comprises 12 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes E and dips 40N. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of an incline.
