A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 36, T18N, R8E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.2 miles) ENE of Cherokee, along the W canyon wall of grizzly creek (E slope of Badger Hill, on private (patented) land. The property comprises 19.74 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
