A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 33 & in sec. 34, T16N, R8E, and in sec. 3, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 2.3 km SSW of Grass Valley proper, W of Wolf Creek and E of The Punchbowl. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
