A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 8, SW¼ sec. 9, 11, 12, NW¼ sec. 16 & in the NE¼ sec. 17, T17N, R11E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) NNW of Omega and about 4.5 km (2.7 miles) ESE of Washington. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in slate. The ore body strikes N and dips 85E to vertical at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 1,524 meters and an overall depth of 121.92 meters and comprised of a shaft, drifts and stopes.
