A former Cr occurrence/mine located in sec. 6, T15N, R11E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) S of Casa Loma and 0.9 km (0.6 mile) NNE of Snakehead Point (opposite side of the river), at the NE corner of Green Valley, N of the North Fork American River, on private land within a National Forest area. Operated by R. E. Linder and D. J. Sullivan (1918). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in serpentinite. The ore body is podiform. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an open cut and a 30 foot deep shaft.
