A reported Au occurrence located in sec. 13, T15N, R14E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.8 mile) NNE of American Hill (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters (sic). NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file presents T&R values placing this locality in sec. 16, while the geographic coordinates provided place it in sec. 13, near other mining activity.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map does not reflect any mining symbols at the coordinates provided; however, the resulting point is at the end of a dead end unimproved (mining ?) road).
