A zinc mine located West of Fairview. Ore is mineralized Everton, Powell & Cotter Dolomites. Started WWI and closed late 1920's.
Deposit: Must be a less weathered exposure; no smithsonite is mentioned note: while property was not worked in 1891, a large amount of ore was shipped in 1891. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Development: Strom was diverted from its original channel. Not worked since 1890. Steam crushing plant that was here was moved to the marklemine. Ore was concentrated by hand jigs.
Geology: Classic sphalerite filled fractures here. The low anticline exposed bears about n.40 degree w.
