A former placer Au mine located in sec. 17, T26N, R8E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,300 feet) WNW of Seneca in Barker Gulch, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The name provided for this location in the MRDS database (Aum Cove) is unlikely. The true name may be "Alum Cove."

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
