A former Cr mine located in the SW¼SE¼ (assumed based on spot on topo map) sec. 16, T23N, R9E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) WSW of Crescent Hill, on National Forest land. Owned by Benner and Barrington, operated by E. R. Patterson, August Eddelbuttel (1944). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a Cr deposit with a lens-shaped ore body 1.22 meters thick. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Assay data: ore 45.53% Cr2O3, 11.37% Fe, Cr to Fe ratio 2.74:1.
