Hexagonal twins, isolated or forming groups, up to 10 cm long, are found in Triassic marls and clays outcrops at SW of the village of Minglanilla.
Caution: Many specimens purported from Minglanilla are actually from outcrops located in the near townships ("municipios") of Enguídanos and La Pesquera (see, for instance, the locality "Retamal ravine, Enguidanos").
