A reported Au occurrence located in sec. 32, T6S, R4E, SBM, 2.0 km (1.3 miles) SSW of Butterfly Peak (coordinates of record), N of Gold Shot Creek, S of Martinez Creek, E of highway 74, along the western slope of the San Jacinto Mountains, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks , unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).
