A Cr occurrence/prospect located in sec. 6, T18S, R12E, MDM, 0.7 km (0.4 mile) SSW of Idria Peak (coordinates of record) and 3.2 km (2.0 miles) SSW of Idria. Owned by Silvestor Tirado. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in Late Cretaceous Franciscan/Panoche serpentinite. The ore body is lenticular & podiform. Magnesiochromite deposits occur in a serpentine mass 12.5 miles long and 3 to 4.5 miles wide. Most of the chromite is found in float boulders scattered on hillsides and in gravels adjoining creeks. The serpentine is highly sheared in most places. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
