A former Hg mine located 1.7 km (5,600 feet) SSE of Idria.
Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Panoche Formation (Upper Cretaceous) and the Franciscan (Jurassic) serpentine and sandstone.
Local structures include the N70W Coalinga Anticline, the New Idria thrust, and faults and fractures.
