A former Hg mine located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 4, T17S, R12E, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) SSE of Idria. Owned by the New Idria Quicksilver Company.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rocks of the Franciscan Complex (sandstone, shale). Hydrothermally indurated beds of the Panoche Formation lie beneath the New Idria thrust fault and associated tear faults which offset the thrust.

Local structures include the N70W Coalinga anticline, the New Idria thrust fault.
