Blue Cloud Mine (Blue Widow No. 3 claim; Sandy Nos. 1 and 2 claims; Golden Nat Nos. 1-4 claims), Monumental District, Whipple Mts, San Bernardino Co., California, USA

A former Cu mine located in sec. 26, T2N, R25E, SBM, on the S slope of the Whipple Mountains.

Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite.

Corrected Coordinates N34.23784 W114.32314 taken at the entrance of the mine adit in the year 2010 by Richard Muster using an Ashtech MM6.

The mine adit goes into the mountain for about 150 feet and has several branches. Outside there is a big hole (vent, syphon ? ), big enough to swallow a Jeep.

USGS lists also Limonite and Malachite, but this could not be verified.
