A former Cu-Pb-Ag-Au mine located in sec. 6, T16N, R13E, SBM, straddling the SW spur of Clark Mountain at about 1650 m. elevation and about 4 km. (air travel) N of Interstate 15, between Valley Wells Station and Mountain Pass. Since 1994, it has been included in the Mojave National Preserve, managed by the National Park Service. Additional names for this locality: Dewey Ivanpah Mine; Dewey Mine.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in the Bully Hill Rhyolite and dolomite.
