A Cu-Ag occurrence/prospect located in sec. 22, T18N, R1E, SBM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile ENE of Quail Spring (coordinates of record), on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). Discovered in 1894. First produced in 1907. Owned by Richard N. Seland (100%), California (1983). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Point of reference is in the center of the Quail Spring area mineral holdings and consist of 1 located claim owned by Mr. Seland.
The ore body is 1.8 meters thick, has a depth-to-top of 0.0 meters, a width of 20 meters and a length of 35 meters. Ore body No. 1 is a fissure vein and is tabular. Ore body No. 2 is lenticular. Ore body No. 3 is irregular. The primary mode of origin was hydrothermal activity. Primary ore control was a contact zone. Wallrock alteration is slight (silicification). Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 16 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings. A mill, the Lone Star, was probably in operation in 1907.
