A former placer Au-Ag-Cu occurrence/mine located in the W½W½ sec. 5, T8N, R14E, SBM, 0.6 km (0.4 miles) ESE of Hidden Hill (coordinates of record) along the eastern base of the hill, on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Property warrants further exploration.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body strikes NE and dips NW. Local rocks include Triassic to Cretaceous Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an incline at least 200 feet deep, a short adit and pits.
Analytical data results: 2 samples assayed 1.415 - 1.905 ounce Au and 1.4 - 1.8 ounce of Ag per ton, plus 1.61 - 1.67% Cu.
