A former Hg occurrence/mine located 0.2 km (700 feet) SSE of New Almaden, on county land (Almaden Quicksilver County Park). First produced in 1846. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. The highest part of Mine Hill is located on the main tunnel. Mined until 1945 but most ore was taken out before 1870. Now considered a part of the New Almaden Mine.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Franciscan Complex (Late Cretaceous serpentinite). Controls for ore emplacement included the local fractures trending NE. Local alteration includes the silica carbonate alteration of serpentine. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Local geologic structures include a serpentine-sediment contact.

Workings include underground openings with a length of 7,620 meters.

Production data are found in: Bailey & Everhart (1964).
