Mineralization is a fissure vein deposit hosted in granite porphyry and diorite and greenstone (Black Spider vein). The ore body is tabular, strikes N60E and dips 75SE at a thickness of 0.891 meters and a length of 24.38 meters. The Black Spider ore body is also tabular, strikes N63E and dips 72NW at 1.22 meters thick and 48.77 meters long. The Black Spider vein is associated with a fine-grained mafic dike and one felsic dike. Gold occurs in 3 parallel veins. The Black Spider vein had some high-grade Au ore, but mostly it was low-grade. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range). Rocks local to the Black Spider vein are Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 4 (Klamath Mountains and Northern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 243.84 meters and an overall depth of 182.88 meters. They are comprised of 3 adits at 25, 80 & 300 feet long and a 40 foot deep shaft.

Workings at the Black Spider vein included 2 shafts at 40 feet and 460 feet deep connected by an 80 foot drift and a main adit at 420 feet long.

Production data are found in: Lydon, P.A., and O'Brien, J.C. (1972).

Production occurred before 1914. No record of that production exists.
