Arps Mine (Arps prospect), Mountain Gate, East Shasta Copper - Zinc District, Klamath Mts, Shasta Co., California, USA

A Mn occurrence located in sec. 15, T33N, R4W, MDM, 1.5 km (5,000 feet) ESE of Mountain Gate. Discovered 1918. Owned by C. L. Wilson, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a Mn deposit. The ore body is 38.1 meters wide and 365.76 meters long. The deposit was traced for 1,200 feet. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
