A former lode Au mine located in sec. 9, T29N, R10W, MDM (coordinates estimated) 0.8 km (2,600 feet) S of Knob, on the divide between Shiell Gulch and Harrison Gulch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body is tabular at a thickness of 1.52 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
