This page is currently not sponsored. Click here to sponsor this page.
A baryte occurrence/deposit located in sec. 7, T35N, R3W, MDM, 0.6 km (2,000 feet) NNE of Hirz Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The MRDS file presents geographic coordinates which are in error. The values of 40°45'08"N, 122°14'39"W, are not consistent with the coordinates of sec. 7, T35N, R3W, MDM. The error is an apparent character inversion of "45" for "54" in the minutes value for the latitude.

Local rocks include Triassic marine rocks, unit 2 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
