A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 29, T20N, R12E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) ENE of Loganville and 1.7 km (1.1 miles) WNW of Sierra City, on the N canyon wall of the North Yuba River, NE of "The Cups," on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This property is the southerly continuation of the Sierra Buttes property.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
