A former Au occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ (estimated) sec. 33, T20N, R12E, MDM, 0.7 km (0.4 mile) SE of Sierra City, along the S canyon wall of the North Yuba River at the W side of Hackmans Ravine, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in amphibolite. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).
Workings include surface openings comprised of pits.
