A former hydraulic placer Au-PGE mine located 3.1 km (1.9 miles) ESE of Forks of Salmon, along the South Fork Salmon River, opposite its confluence with Knownothing Creek.
Mineralization is a stream placer deposit hosted in gravel.
Local tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains accreted terrane.
