A former placer Au-PGE (Pt-Os-Ir) hydraulic mine located 3.2 km (2.0 miles) NW of Yoakumville, along the South Fork Salmon River, between the confluences of Henry Bell Gulch and Negro Creek with the river.
Mineralization is a stream placer deposit hosted in gravel.
Related tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains accreted terrane.
