A mineral pigments occurrence located in sec. 17, T1S, R12E, MDM, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) N of Knights Ferry, along the Calaveras County line. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in the Copley Meta-andesite. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
