A former Cr mine located in sec. 16, T25N, R7W, MDM, 2.8 km (9,300 feet) NW of Copple Place, along the North Fork Elder Creek. Discovered in 1886. Produced 1928-1955. Operated by the Tehama Consolidated Chrome Co. (1946). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Knoxville Formation (dunite). Associated rocks include diorite. The ore body is lenticular, strikes N35W, dips moderately NE at a thickness of 9.75 meters, width of 22.86 meters, and a length of 213.36 meters. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of at least 4 tunnels and numerous small pits and trenches (1940/s).
