Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Knoxville Formation (dunite). Associated rocks include diorite. The ore body is lenticular, strikes N35W, dips moderately NE at a thickness of 9.75 meters, width of 22.86 meters, and a length of 213.36 meters. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of at least 4 tunnels and numerous small pits and trenches (1940/s).
