A former lode Au mine located in secs. 3, 10 & 11, T34N, R8W, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) NNE of Trinity Dam and 4.0 km (2.5 miles) SE of Minersville site, N of Digger Gulch, on Bureau of Reclamation land (Clair Engle Lake) and National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Sidewinder volcanic series (Bragdon slate, diorite). The ore body is irregular in shape, strikes N, E-W and dips 47E, 60 at a thickness of 6.1 meters. The diroitic dike (?) footwall is highly silicified. The slate-diorite contact dips 45E. A faulted segment of the vein is exposed by surface cuts on the E end of old stopes. The fault contact is black slate material with greenstone exposed in No. 4 level, but no ore was found on the contact. Brecciated rhyolitic dike rock, cutting slate was exposed in the raise above. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 285 foot adit between No. 1 and No. 2 levels of the older workings. A small millsite exists. Old workings include open cuts and drifts and numerous stopes on levels No. 3 and No. 4.
