A former placer Au mine located in secs. 27-29, T37N, R11W, MDM, 7.0 km (4.4 miles) NW of Thompson Peak (2), along Grizzly Creek at its confluence with Stribling Gulch, on Bureau of Land Managenment wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is gravel on hornblende schist. Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).

NOTE: The following are cryptic MRDS notations: LORENZAND MOLITER WORKINGS IN TH MOLITER WAS 2 MAN OPERATION WITH HYD. GIANT. Possible meaning: Lorenz and Moliter workings in... The Moliter was a 2 man operation with a hydraulic giant.
