A former lode Au-Cu-Mn mine located in the SE¼NW¼ and in the E½SW¼NW¼ sec. 13 (2 locations), T37N, R8W, MDM, 3.0 km (9,800 feet) WSW of Coffee Creek, in the headwaters area of Morrison Gulch, on National Forest land. Discovered 1886. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in greenstone and peridotite. The ore body is in pockets and strikes NNE and dips 20SE. Ore controls included shear zones. Country rock is peridotite, cut by small masses of granodiorite by lamprophyre dikes and a dike of greenstone. Gold occurs in the free state. ocal rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 500 foot adit and 200 feet of drifts, winzes and raises. The ore was stoped to surface.

No specific production record was found. A small pocket produced $60,000 of gold (period values) in a few days in 1892.
