A placer Au-PGE (Pt-Ir-Ru-Os) deposit located in sec. 29, T33N, R9W, MDM, 3.3 km (2.1 miles) NNE of Douglas City (??), in the main channel of the Trinity River. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTE: The supposed (and likely) location of this placer does not agree with the geographic coordinate sets presented by both MRDS files. File #10072347 would seem to be less accurate. The coordinates presented by file #10280893 place the locality on the (high) divide between Weaver Creek and the Trinity River, missing the river by perhaps 1,000+ feet (to the W). The distances from Douglas City would therefore be inaccurate.
Mineralization is placer Au & PGE's hosted in river gravels (deposit = stream placer Au deposit). Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).
