A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 20, T34N, R3W, MDM, 1.1 km (3,600 feet) E of Pettijohn Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings comprised of a hydraulic pit.
