A former lode Au claim/mine located in secs. 30 & 31, T2N, R14E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,300 feet) SW of Tuttletown, along Mormon Creek (on ridge NW of Mormon Creek [coordinates provided place this locality on the topo map S of Mormon Creek]), on private land. Claim is 20.6 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Claim is located near the common ¼ corner of secs. 30 & 31.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and greenstone. The ore body strikes N35W and dips 65NE. The vein forms a stringer lead, consisting of a mass of quartz stringers, cutting schist, and averaging a thickness of 30 feet. The footwall is slate and the hanging wall is diabase. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

NOTE: Inconsistencies in above data noted. MRDS file states hosted in slate and greenstone, then states foot and hanging walls are slate and diabase, then states that the quartz stringer structure cuts schist!

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 600 foot inclined shaft with drifts N and S at the 300, 400, 500 and 600 foot levels.
