A Hg mine complex located in secs. 2 & 3, T9N, R6W, MDM, about 1.7 km (5,500 feet) W of Aetna Springs.
NOTE: Coordinates provided are approximate to the center of the boundary between secs. 2 & 3.
This deposit consists of veins and veinlets of cinnabar with minor amounts of metacinnabar plus native mercury occurring in Franciscan sandstone and shale of the Great Valley sequence and serpentine. The deposits are associated with fault structures and the borders of serpentine masses. Pyrite is always a common associated mineral.
