A former lode Au mine located about 2½ miles SW of Long Barn and about 6½ miles NE of Soulsbyville. Cryptic MRDS data: E of the Harvard fractional claim of 10 acres covering a length of 550 feet along the vein.
Mineralization is hosted in slate, amphibolite, quartzite, and schist.
NOTE: The coordinates presented in the USGS MRDS, i.e., 37°56'50"N, 120°26'10"W, place this mine in the immediate Jamestown area, and are in obvious error.
