A former Au-Ag mine located in sec. 6, T1S, R16E, MDM (property extends into sec. 1, T1S, R15E, MDM), 2.6 km (8,600 feet) SE of Eastman Ranch, on the W side of the Tuolumne River at river mile 80, on private (patented) land. Owned by Harold Dopp and Charlotte A. Dopp (100.00%), California (1964). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
NOTE: There are 2 separate MRDS database files and another MAS-MILS file for the Russell Telegraph Mine. The coordinates provided for that mine place it 0.7 km (2,200 feet) E of this locality. The MRDS file for this locality presents the Russell-Telegraph as an alternate name. These 2 localities are probably synoymous; however, there are insufficient data presented among all the files to substantiate that.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
