A former lode Au mine located in sec. 18 & in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 19, T1S, R15E, MDM, 4.4 km (2.7 miles) S of Hog Mountain (coordinates of record), on the divide between the Tuolumne River (Don Pedro Reservoir) and Kanaka Creek, on private land. The claim is approximately __ acres (data truncated by the MRDS database). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes NW and dips E. Minor quartz is present, occurring in irregularly dispersed quartz stringers and seams in fractured granite. A rich gold-bearing pocket was said to be in serpentine. The granite is biotitic and porphyritic, impregnated in places with pyrite. The ore is also impregnated with pyrite. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
