The Nine Acre mine is about a 200 foot deep mine and was operated by Eagle Mining company from about 1946 until about 1950. They just hand chopped the ore, high graded it, and sent it to Pitcher Oklahoma to be treated by floatation. The price of zinc dropped about that time and they walked off from it and haven’t been back (B. Frazer, 1998 Fluorspar District Symposium). The dump is small and specimen poor.
