Chibaisong Cu-Ni-PGE deposit, Tonghua Co., Tonghua Prefecture, Jilin Province (Manchuria; Dongbei Region), China

Medium-sized mafic-ultramafic related Cu-Ni-PGE deposit, consisting of stratiform and pod-like orebodies in a multistage composite batholith that is composed of diabasic gabbro, olivine noritic gabbro, plagioclase lherzolite, fine-grained noritic gabbro, and gabbroic porphyrite. The batholith intruded into rocks of the Archean Anshan group and is of K-Ar age of 2242.5 Ma. The orebody is 200 m long and 20-40 m wide. The deposit is located in the Jiaoliao anticline, north to the Benxi-Hunjiang fault and south to the Chifeng-Gudonghe fault.
